Zook Cabins

Financing Your Modular Cabin,
One Step at a Time

Construction loans for modular homes work much like loans for site-built homes — your lender just needs a few extra items because part of your home is built off-site. Here's the whole journey, what's needed at each step, and who handles what.

1

Start With a Lender Conversation

Most lenders don't handle modular construction loans or even understand what they are. The ones that do usually have payment schedules not suitable for the builders you work with — our lending contacts below are the exception. They specialize in exactly this and can pre-qualify you before you finalize your plans.

Budget, Draws & Appraisal

Construction loans pay out in stages ("draws") as work is completed. Your lender will also order an appraisal based on your plans before the home exists.
